About Us
Welcome to the Drop Inn, Hakuba, Japan
A large traditional Japanese house with private and shared rooms for guests with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere similar to a hostel/ryokan (traditional Japanese inn).Enjoy skiing/snowboarding at Sanosaka Ski resort only a short walk from the property or shuttle to the other ski hills.We speak Japanese and can help guide you to amazing spots for snow, places to eat /drink, nightlife, tourist attractions, etc.All cultures, backgrounds, orientations welcome.

The Drop Inn is unique because we don't just offer you a room, we offer you help to make your Hakuba experience the best it can be.We use our +12 years in Japan, Japanese language, culture and local knowledge in addition to our +20 seasons of snowboarding experience to give you tips on what to do and see while in Hakuba.

Each room in The Drop Inn has an authentic Japanese appearance with shoji (traditional paper sliding frames) and tatami mat floors.Our rooms are fitted with comfortable western beds with the highest quality down quilts and natural gas heaters for your warmth and comfort during your stay.We offer private queen and triple rooms perfect for couples or friends traveling together. We also have a shared 4 bed bunk room for solo travellers.
